Council has applied to IPART (Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal) for a 20% increase in minimum rates. The proposed increase is in addition to the rate pegged increase of 3.6%. The decision was made by Council on 28 November 2011 following a three month community engagement campaign designed to both inform and seek feedback from rate payers in the Willoughby LGA.
Council’s application was lodged 23 March 2012 and IPART will advise Council if the application is successful in June 2012.
