WESEN

A visit to a fantastic biodynamic garden at the Glenaean Rudolf Steiner School for a quarterly WESEN meeting.

WESEN (Willoughby's Environment and Sustainability Education Network) aims to help schools, their partners and the community work together in undertaking environmental and sustainability education projects.

WESEN provides the opportunity for:

  • Willoughby City Council, local environmental groups and schools to develop partnerships.
  • Exchanging ideas, resources and learning experiences.
  • Assistance with grant, award and competition applications and the School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP).
  • Guest speakers to present on environmental and sustainability initiatives, addressing topics such as waste, energy, water, transport and biodiversity.
  • Professional development relating to environment and sustainability education.
  • Developing efficient ways to seek resources.
  • School and participating organisational achievements to be highlighted in a quarterly newsletter.

WESEN is a member of SEEN (Sydney Environmental Educators Network) and AAEE (Australian Association for Environmental Education).
