Internet Access at Chatswood Library

Internet-ready computers

Computers with internet are available at no charge for research and for finding general information.  The computers are as follows:
2 Quick Internet  (30 mins)
11 Internet  (60 mins)
 These computers also have Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. USBs may be used on these computers.

Email

Two computers are available for email at the cost of $1.50 per 30 minute session. These computers are not able to be booked.. Printing charges as for the Internet computers apply.

Printing costs

Printing is available from all computers. There is a charge of 20c per A4 sheet in black and white, and $2 per A4 sheet in colour.

Bookings

Bookings must be made for all computer sessions in the Library. You may make your own bookings for an internet computer or the word processor in the Library using the bookings computer, ask staff at the Information Desk or phone the Library on 9777 7900. Bookings may be made a maximum of one week in advance.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet is available without charge at Chatswood Library. You need a wirelesss capable computer, notebook or PDA which has it's own power source. Passwords are available at the Information Desk.  Each password gives the user 4 hours access to the wireless network.

Internet Training

People who wish to learn how to use the Internet may enrol in our Internet Tutorials for Beginners. These classes are offered during school term time by members of the Library staff and are delivered in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. A maximum of two students attend each session.

Internet Tutorials for Beginners

Tuesdays 10 - 11am and 2 - 3pm, Fridays 2 - 3pm

Bookings are essential. Phone 9777 7900 or ask at the Lower Ground, The Concourse 409 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.

Intermediate Internet Tutorials and Internet Refresher Tutorials are available on request.
