The Willoughby Sculpture Prize is a major biannual event and returned in 2011 to the iconic Incinerator site and surrounding parklands. This national event ran over 16 days and attracted over 4,000 visitors.
183 entries were received and 51 artworks selected to be exhibited inside the heritage listed Incinerator and throughout the surrounding parklands.
The Willoughby Sculpture Prize is sponsored by Willoughby City Council and local businesses, and reflects Council’s ongoing commitment to develop and celebrate the visual arts in Willoughby. Prizes awarded total $20,000, with a Major Prize of $15,000.
