Enjoy an evening of bush poetry, ballads and music by the campfire at Willoughby’s annual Bush Poetry Reading event this Valentine’s Day.
Poems will be read by Don Swonnell, Peter Carmody and special guests. Audience participation is encouraged and attendees are invited to bring along a poem to read.
“The annual Bush Poetry event is a time for Willoughby residents to gather and experience our rich local history and culture in the picturesque bushland of Bicentennial Reserve,” said Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney. “Bring along a mug for tea and damper and sit back to enjoy a wonderful evening of bush poetry by the campfire,” she said.
The Henry Lawson Cave is located behind the Willoughby Leisure Centre, accessible via Small Street, Willoughby. Head to the rear car park and follow the signs down the bush steps to the cycling and walking track.
