International Women’s Day: Celebrate Willoughby’s extraordinary women

Celebrate International Women’s Day at Willoughby Women Inspired and hear the remarkable success stories of inspiring women in the community, including special guest Pat Evans from Dress from Success Sydney, who will speak about her efforts to help women thrive in life and in work.
Attendees will also hear from a high profile keynote speakers about her experiences in leadership roles and the achievements she has made throughout her life and career.
A not-for-profit organization, Dress for Success Sydney empowers women by providing support, professional attire and the tools to help them succeed. Attendees are encouraged to support Dress for Success Sydney’s Empower Hour by donating an hour of their pay, or a handbag, to help set a woman on her path to success.
Donators will also have the chance to win a Colorado handbag on the night!
As part of the event, attendees will have an exclusive tour of the Incinerator Art Space exhibition, Domestic Goddess, a showcase of glass and ceramic artworks that explore the notion of the ‘home-maker’. Delicious seasonal and sustainable refreshments will also be provided on the night.
“International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate the many social, economic and political accomplishments of women in our society, as well as address the continued struggle for gender parity,” said Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney.
