Speedo Junior Ambassador joins Willoughby Swim for a Cause

Speedo Junior Ambassador and World Junior Relay Champion, Lucy McJannet will show her support for White Ribbon at community fundraising event Willoughby Swim for a Cause on Friday 18 November at Willoughby Leisure Centre.  
 
The event will see teams of four swim two laps of the Willoughby Leisure Centre pool, with the winning team swimming their registered time or swims within two seconds either way of it. 
 
The event will also include: 

  • Special guest speaker - Bianka Costigan from the Tara Costigan Foundation 
  • Representatives from White Ribbon
  • Raffle prizes
  • Live entertainment
  • Sausage sizzle

All proceeds raised will go directly to White Ribbon and Delvena Women’s Refuge.

“As Mayor of Willoughby City, I encourage the entire community to come along to this wonderful community event and show their support for this worthy cause,” said Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney. “Together, we can stand up and say ‘no, not now, not ever’ and help break the silence about domestic and family violence,” she said.
