Under the direction of conductor, Alexander Briger, Artistic Director of the Australian World Orchestra, the Willoughby Symphony and the Caro String Quartet will perform Schubert’s sublime C major Symphony, the overture from Mendelssohn’s beloved Midsummer Night’s Dream and Vaughan Williams’ stunning Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis.
This concert will also introduce the 2016 Composer-in-Residence, Matthew Hindson AM, one of Australia’s most intriguing and original voices. Matthew’s work, The Rave and the Nightingale is an extraordinary composition that will ignite your imagination and astonish you with its sheer boldness.
