Willoughby Swim for a Cause

07 October 2016

Willoughby Swim for a Cause
6pm – 9pm, Friday 18 November
Willoughby Leisure Centre, Small Street Willoughby

Get your friends, family and co-workers together and sign up to Willoughby Swim for a Cause - a community swimming relay held in support of White Ribbon and Delvena Women’s Refuge.

The event will see teams of four swim two laps of the Willoughby Leisure Centre pool, with the winner being the team who swims their registered time or within two seconds either way of it.

Mixed teams and all ages and experience levels welcome!

The event will also include:

• Special guest speaker - Bianka Costigan from the Tara Costigan Foundation
• Representatives from White Ribbon Ambassador and the Australian Swim Team
• Raffle prizes
• Live performances
• Sausage sizzle

All proceeds raised will go directly to White Ribbon and Delvena Women’s Refuge.

“As Mayor of Willoughby City, I encourage the entire community to come along to this wonderful community event and show their support for this worthy cause,” said Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney. “Together, we can stand up and say ‘no, not now, not ever’ and help break the silence about domestic and family violence,” she said.
