To help inform their planning process Council commissioned GML Social Research to undertake an audit of community facilities. The fieldwork for the audit was conducted during September and October 2003. This report outlines the key findings and provides recommendations and discussion points in relation to:
The report looks at all community facilities, not just those owned or operated by Council. Council is undertaking a review of recreation facilities in the area as part of a Recreation Plan. This report is due for completion in 2009 and will take into consideration facilities currently available for recreational use and those being planned for the future.
