Walk to Work Day is a national annual event organised by the Pedestrian Council of Australia which promotes higher levels of physical activity, a cleaner environment and a reduction in motor vehicle travel.
Council encourages its staff to set an example through using sustainable forms of transport when traveling to and from work, including walking, cycling and using public transport.
National Walk to Work Day is the perfect time to stop making excuses, do something good for yourself and develop a new healthy habit of regular physical activity. After all, walking is an easy, enjoyable, safe and sociable method of exercise and it makes you feel great. You can do it any time, any where and best of all - it’s free!
