Area:417m²Named after the nautical term for the upper deck of a ship. The developer of the area, Lend Lease through Civil and Civic Pty Ltd., elected to name the streets to reflect the partiality for nautical terms of its Dutch born director, Gerardus J. Dusseldorp who built his home in Middle Cove. The island reserve was acquired by Council in 1957 for a public garden and recreation space.The Quarterdeck is in a quiet residential area and is surrounded by The Quarterdeck (road) and North Arm Road.
