Public Art

There are many unique and interesting pieces of public art in and around Chatswood, ranging from sculptures and fountains to pavement inserts and interactive pieces.

Many of the pieces of public arts throughout Chatswood have been commissioned by Willoughby City Council, while others have been developed by the private sector.

Beauchamp Park artworks

The park features artworks speckled amongst the sportsfield, playground and parkland.

Historical Signal Room

The historic Signal Room for the old Chatswood Station has been carefully reconstructed to its original form in the new bus interchange on the east side of Chatswood Station.

Ingress

A suspended light installation of sustainable LED lights that illuminate a blue glow, located in The Concourse Performing Arts Centre.

Kulla Moves Out

Kulla Moves Out is an interactive artwork made from recycled bricks, located in Chatswood Park.

Paydirt

Paydirt, by Peter Day and Joanne Fuller, is a tribute to the brickworks and pottery heritage of the area.

Railings

Fourteen red cast aluminium railing inserts at the intersection of Anderson Street and Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.

Ripple

Ripple is a contemplative installation designed to act as an oasis of calm in the busy pedestrian area of Chatswood Mall.

Roses - Garden of Remembrance

The frieze of roses by Peter D Cole leads to the Garden of Remembrance and adds a trail of colour through the interchange.

Shadow Play

Daniel Tobin portrays the City as a place of commercial energy through a pair of sculptures located in Chatswood.

Terrazzo

A series of tile inserts surround the Mantra Hotel. The pieces were designed in 1998 -1999 by artist David Humphries.

Tingha Woman

Currey Park features a unique fountain and sculpture of Tingha Woman, an artwork by Joe Hirst that feeds water in to the fountain.

Visiting Enki

Wendy Mills' Visiting Enki comprises of a boat-like open framework installation in The Concourse's Reflection Pool.

Wheel

A circular brick mural by Suzie Bleach and Andrew Townsend, located in Mashman Park.

Zenith Towers

Architects Ross Shepherd and Jessica Hodge created five, laser steel pieces to complement the Zenith Towers. Henry Lawson’s poem Chatswood is engraved in the surrounding pavement.
