Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a service for senior Willoughby residents who are temporarily or permanently unable to shop, prepare, or cook for themselves. It is also available for carers and for some residents on NDIS (depending on individual circumstances).
Meals are delivered to residents at home by friendly volunteers.
This service operates Monday to Friday, providing hot lunchtime meals, as well as frozen or chilled meals and desserts which can be heated up and eaten when convenient. We provide nutritious and fresh main meals, soups, sandwiches, desserts and juices.
Main meals are $8.65 for senior residents. Meal packages (main meal, dessert, package soup and juice) are $12.55 for senior residents.
All meals are freshly nutritionally balanced and do not contain preservatives or food additives. They are made locally using fresh ingredients.
Meals on Wheels social lunches
We run a semi-monthly themed lunch at the Dougherty Centre for senior residents, with limited free transport available to and from the Dougherty Centre for those who need it.
