Embark on a Literary Adventure - Library Summer Reading Challenge

Willoughby City Library is thrilled to announce the launch of its much-anticipated Summer Reading Challenge, inviting readers between the ages of 0-16 to embark on a thrilling literary journey. The theme for this year's challenge is 'travel,' encouraging readers to explore new worlds and embrace the joy of reading during the summer holidays.
Participants can register on Eventbrite between 4 December 2023 to 19 January 2024. Library membership is required for participation offering exclusive benefits and programs. Upon registration, individuals can visit any Willoughby City Library branch to collect a registration pack filled with delightful goodies.
How It Works:
- Download your reading log from the Summer Reading Challenge website.
- Read or listen to 10 or more books (Audiobooks are included).
- Submit your completed reading log by uploading it to the Summer Reading Challenge website, handing it in at a library branch, or emailing it to library@willoughby.nsw.gov.au.
- All participants will be included in the mailing list for an invite to the Summer Reading Challenge final celebration. The event will feature a fun craft activity and a prize draw, presented by a special guest.
Visitor Information:
Children under 11 must be supervised by someone over 18 at all times in the Library. Strict adherence to NSW Health guidelines for the health and safety of the community and staff.
