Willoughby City Council's charging stations
Willoughby City Council owns and operates multiple public access EV charging stations across Willoughby. Situated in busy, high density commercial and residential areas, we control the pricing of these chargers, and ensure revenue earned is returned to Council.
We have recently supported a commercial charge point operator EVX to install and operate the Ausgrid pole-mounted charging stations now seen in lower density areas. We collaborate to identify the best locations that balance strategic and practical aims, and conduct consultation required before all locations are considered by our Traffic Committee thereafter endorsed by Council.
The locations of all Council charging stations can be found below. The locations and details of the EVX chargers can be found here. All chargers are powered by 100% renewable electricity.
All EV parking in the bays are subject to parking requirements. Only EVs which are charging are allowed to park in any of these bays. Disabled parking is allowed in these EV charging bays ONLY whilst charging. Infringement notices may be issued to ensure compliance.
If you would like a new location to be considered or have any other comments about EV charging, please email Peter Lisle, Sustainability Team Leader (peter.lisle@willoughby.nsw.gov.au). If a new location is suggested, please email the location and Ausgrid pole number thereat.
