Bird Walk at Mowbray Park

Want to know about our amazing bird diversity in Willoughby?

Spring has sprung! Join us on a guide bushwalk with bird expert Mark Fuller as we go bird watching to identify and learn about the local birdlife in Mowbray Park. Beginner birdwatchers are welcome. Participants will receive a free bird identification chart. Feel free to bring your own binoculars to help see any birds we find.

Bushwalk Details

  • Bushwalk starts at 9:30am and ends at 11:30am.
  • For those making their own way, we will meet in the Rotary Athletic Field Car Park, western end of Mowbray Road, Lane Cove North. Please refer to the Google map attached.
  • Limited bus pick-up available at the Dougherty Community Centre carpark area (7 Victor Street, Chatswood). Bookings required. After the walk, you will be driven back to the same pick-up point.
  • Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
  • Must be fit enough to walk for 2 hours with some rest during the walk.
  • Morning tea provided (tea, coffee and biscuits).
  • Suitable for adults only. No children or pets allowed.
  • Comply with current COVID-19 restrictions.

This walk is guided by Council's Natural Assets Officer.
