About Faye Chen
Faye is a Chinese-Australian independent curator and art marketer who works on Gadigal land. With a passion for fostering artistic dialogue and bridging cross-cultural connections, Faye brings a unique blend of expertise to the art industry.
She holds a Master's degree in Art Curating from the prestigious University of Sydney, where she honed her skills in crafting meaningful and thought-provoking exhibitions. Faye's academic foundation has significantly contributed to her dynamic approach to curatorial practice.
In 2022, Faye took on the role of Marketing Coordinator at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. Here, she seamlessly integrates her marketing acumen with her artistic sensibilities, ensuring the organisation's outreach and engagement strategies are both innovative and impactful.
Alongside her role at 4A, Faye has been steadily developing her curatorial portfolio. In 2022, Faye co-curated the exhibition Borderless, featuring artists Adam Cheng and Jasper Knight. The following year, she co-curated the captivating exhibition Entwined Within with Willoughby City Council.
Faye's professional journey is deeply rooted in her lived experiences across both Australia and Asia. This diverse background has allowed her to seamlessly blend the emerging and traditional aspects of both cultures into her curatorial approach.
