MainImage.jpg
Join our tour bus taking you on a tour of the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre, Eco House and Garden, as part of our Seniors Festival.

You will see how green waste is transformed into a usable garden product and tour the Kimbriki site. This will be followed by a fun workshop and talk on ecological living, organic gardening and composting at the Eco-House and Garden, including tasting of edible flowers and herbal tea for morning tea.

Meet at 9am outside The Dougherty Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood, to catch a bus to Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre.

What to bring and wear

  • The ecologist will display edible plants and flowers. Participants susceptible to severe anaphylactic reaction to plants or bees should bring adequate medication. Participants in this category must be made known to our staff and must not taste plants or flowers.
  • Please wear covered shoes and bring sun protection, a hat, water, medication if required, and a raincoat if rain predicted.

Note: The Eco House and Garden staff are trained in first aid - they do not administer medication.
