An excellent leadership training opportunity for community leaders current and emerging

Engaging with someone who is distressed or anxious can be challenging, even when we have the best intentions to help. In collaboration with Relationships Australia, we are offering a leadership training opportunity designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively and compassionately with clients accessing our services.

This training delves into the various types of trauma and provides insights into how these experiences impact the health and well-being of individuals and families. Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to apply trauma-informed principles within best practice guidelines, particularly when working with diverse populations.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • A comprehensive overview of neurobiological research related to trauma.
  • Understanding the impact of trauma on families and children.
  • Identifying different types of trauma and their effects.
  • Practical response strategies for addressing trauma in clients.
  • Techniques for self-care to maintain well-being when supporting others.
  • Applying learned concepts through real-life case scenarios.
