Willoughby Walks through Blue Gum Reserve 2025

Willoughby Walks is a free, interactive self-guided walking tour app developed by Willoughby City Council. To celebrate the recent completion of the Blue Gum Reserve tour, Council staff are hosting a guided bushwalk using the app. An iPad and speaker will be available for participants to listen to the app’s recordings, though we encourage you to download and use the app on your smart device for a more immersive experience, allowing you to read the audio transcript and view images as we explore the reserve.

Bushwalk details

• Bushwalk starts at 9:30am and ends at 11:30am.
• For those making their own way, we will meet opposite the corner of Dulwich Road and Peckham Avenue, Chatswood (See map below).
• Limited bus pick-up will be available at the Dougherty Community Centre carpark area (7 Victor Street, Chatswood). Bookings required. The bus will arrive at 9am. After the walk, you will be driven back to the same pick-up point.
• Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
• Must be fit enough to walk for 2 hours with some rest during the walk.
• They’ll be some steps and uneven surfaces. Please consider if you are able to do this walk, especially if you have mobility constraints or recently had surgery.
• Morning tea will be provided around 11.30am - 12.00pm (tea, coffee and biscuits).
• Suitable for adults only. No children or pets allowed.
• These walks are popular and spots fill up fast. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket so others may join.
