Floral arrangements workshop - Harmony Day 2025

FAME (floral arrangements made easy)- put your creative hat on to arrange a bouquet from fresh flowers ‘picked’ from the Flower Market.

Flowers speak the language of love.

Dr. Bibi will share flower arranging tips and the associated health benefits.

You will learn the Eight Elements of Design and create two bouquets of very different style (straight stems and hand-tied spiral).

What to wear

Closed shoes must be worn.

What to bring

• your own apron and gardening gloves if preferred
• a reuseable shopping bag (similar to Woolies shopping bag or equivalent) to take your floral arrangements home.

Considerable strength is required to cut the stems with sharp florist scissors.

Payment

Please pay by credit or debit or EFTPOS card on arrival at the Dougherty Community Centre - $10.00 per person.

When

Location

Our centre is located within a 5-minute walk from the Chatswood Interchange via Chatswood Mall turning right into Victor Street.

As there is limited and restricted parking available in the Council open-air car park next-door, visitors may choose to use the Westfield car park across the road.
