As the future of our world becomes increasingly perilous, and with countless bird species facing extinction, Guy Troughton’s powerfully observed, expressive work resonates more deeply than ever before. A master at capturing the essence of his subjects, Flight And Form brings together evocative studio paintings, dynamic drawings, field sketches and watercolours. Troughton’s authentic, emotional response emanates in each work - drawing the viewer in and presenting a highly engaging and enticing portrayal of birds in art.

Guy Troughton is an acclaimed Sydney based artist and teacher who has spent his career painting and exploring the natural world. A keen birdwatcher and naturalist, Guy completed a degree in zoology before immersing himself in the world of art. Recognised today as one of Australia’s leading watercolour artists, Guy’s work has been shown around the world and his paintings are held in several notable collections.
