A solo exhibition of sculptural ceramics by Odette Ireland.
Ireland’s art practice is concerned with themes associated with connection/disconnection to place. Her work references her family history and demonstrates metaphorically, how difference and disparity can build a cohesive, resilient family and community.
For this exhibition Ireland has created ceramic and mixed media sculptures that are suspended, free standing and works that hang on the wall. Inspired by nature and influenced by Alexander Calder’s mobiles, Ireland has carefully crafted and assembled a series of sculptural works that compel and intrigue.
