Magical moments in unpredictable times

Local artists Alison Lee Cousland, Jan Denham, Stephen Denham and Sue-Ellen Smith are connected through friendship and a deepening sense of the magical imagery of light touching surfaces of rockpools, sea elements, birds, blossoms and buddhas have been captured as simple magical moments in these unpredictable times.

Alison's work emerges from her intuitive and experimental processes with natural, repurposed and recyclable eco-friendly materials. It reflects her interest in natural healing and new approaches to art that seek an active partnership with nature.

Jan Denham

With a love of petals and inspired by the touch of the divine in nature and everyday life, Jan's designs are an ongoing creative exploration.

Sand and sea, water and skies, clouds, silhouettes and shadows call out to me, my brush and blank canvas. It's like learning to see all over again.

With the advent of digital cameras and high-quality zoom lenses, Sue has been able to combine her photography with her love of bird watching.

Through her photography, Sue wishes to share with others the beauty and diversity of Australia's amazing birdlife, reminding us how important it is to do everything we can to protect Avian ecosystems.
