Willoughby Symphony Orchestra: Parisian Rhapsody
Hear the best new talent Australian music has to offer in Willoughby Symphony Orchestra’s Parisian Rhapsody.
Clarinettist Oliver Shermacher, a finalist in the 2018 ABC Young Performers Awards, joins rising star conductor Sam Weller for Debussy’s haunting Première Rhapsodie and the world premiere of a new clarinet concerto, Échappsodie, by Composer in Residence Alice Chance, before soprano Katherine Allen and baritone Simon Lobelson join orchestra and choir for Fauré’s sublime Requiem. The concert whirls to life with Saint-Saëns’ wild and beautiful Danse Macabre.
