An exhibition of watercolour drawings presented by five international artists.
Watercolour drawing for its own sake has long been seen as a lesser form of Fine Art and during Colonial times in Australia, a predominately feminine preoccupation. Some of this prejudice has remained amongst sculptors until relatively recently.
This exhibition brings together the private watercolour drawings of five international women sculptors, juxtaposed with examples from their sculptural practice.
ARTISTS: Sally Aplin, Carole Driver, Janne Malmros, Helen Sturgess and Sarah Woodfine.
