Visit Incinerator Art Space for a series of performances, including opera and a poetry reading.

Please join us for a lively afternoon in the art space with performances to expand and broaden the artistic expressions around the concept of 'time', and what it may tell us. Refer to the following for some information about the artists who will be performing.

Katya Petetskaya, guest performance artist (incorporating projection mapping by Priscilla Koukoui)

Katya Petetskaya is a visual artist working across painting and performance art. Born in the Soviet Union, Petetskaya's works represent deeply emotive responses to her own personal history as well as society's broader trends and trajectories. Her work embodies a way in which she is able to interpret, process and better understand the accelerated changes of a world that is constantly in the process of reaching yet another tipping point. She has performed at festivals and events in Sydney, Leipzig, Venice, Athens, Saas Fee and The Hague.

Describing herself as a 'cross modalist', Priscilla Koukoui is an immersive multisensory designer who brings her work in emerging technologies into her work as an artist. As technical director she leads innovative VR/AR immersive digital projects for large infrastructure projects in Australia. As an artist, she crafts immersive multisensory stories. Based in Sydney, she has exhibited at Bondi Art Gallery, Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney College of the Arts, and Barometer Gallery (in collaboration with Anne Levitch).

Susan Grant, poetry reading

Having a background in philosophy and linguistics, the power of the spoken word has always been fascinating to Grant. As an exhibiting artist in this exhibition, she has developed a suite of poems around the concept of 'time' and a narrative poem that she will read in performance. She regularly writes haiku, has worked with several Sydney poets in her development and is a member of the North Shore Poetry Project.

Lana Kains, guest operatic artist

As a young soprano, Kains has performed with ensembles in Australia and abroad ranging from early Baroque to Contemporary Classical music. With a keen interest in musicology, she enjoys researching the reciprocal relationship between music, philosophy and culture and is currently completing her Masters in Opera at the Sydney Conservatorium. She has previously performed, Semele from Handel, Dido from Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Serpina from Pergolesi's La Serva Padrona, and Papagena from Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.

Time Will Tell is an exhibition of ceramics, printmaking, painting, sculpture, poetry and interactive works presented by six artists. It explores time as a multi-dimensional fabric, challenging the concept of a linear continuum.
