Parking permits

2024/25 residential parking permit applications

  • Council is implementing a new online system for residential parking permits applications and renewals.
  • 2024 resident parking permit applications have been deferred to December 2024.
  • Leave your current residential parking permit(s) in your vehicles as they remain valid until end of February 2025.
  • You can apply for a new residential parking permit in our new system from early December 2024.

2024 resident parking permit (RPP) applications scheduled for September 2024 will be deferred until December 2024 to implement a new platform called MyWilloughby which will make applying for a new or renewed parking permit more efficient.

MyWilloughby will make online applications easier for residents to complete and processing more efficient for Council officers, so deferring RPP applications until December allows for a smooth transition to the new platform.

Residents with an RPP showing an expiry date of 31 October 2024 can still use their existing permit while MyWilloughby is implemented.

You can continue parking in your designated space or spaces. Council Rangers will not issue an infringement notice if your permit is still visible up to the end of February when applications close and permits are received.

Temporary visitor parking permits remain available for purchase, and trade permits can still be applied for online.

MyWilloughby Applications

All RPP applications will be available when MyWilloughby is live, but you will need to supply the following documents in this round of applications:

  • Copy of car registration papers showing all vehicles registered to the property address.
  • If you use a company car, a letter from your company (on company letterhead) advising that the vehicle is kept at the home address.
  • Current proof of residential status (drivers licence, residential lease, electrical or gas account or telephone account).
  • Any other supporting documents, such as photographs.

This ensures your permit is registered in MyWilloughby and you won’t need to provide these documents when reapplying next year. Council is also giving customers three months to apply for their RPP once MyWilloughby is live, giving you more time over the holidays to complete your application.

Timelines for the MyWilloughby project are subject to change so check this page or our social media channels to see regular updates.

New permit applications

New residents can continue applying for a new RPP in September to November but will need to reapply in December when MyWilloughby is live.
