Light bulbs contain small amounts of mercury which can leak into the environment if broken in your bin.
Intact light bulbs can be recycled for free through a Household Chemical CleanOut event or at the Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre.
Fluorescent light bulbs may also be disposed of through a waste management facility, such as Veolia or Cleanaway.
