Mattresses

Mattresses and bed frames can be recycled through Council's bulky waste collection service.

Either use the booked service or put your mattress out at the next scheduled bulky waste collection.  Acceptable items include:

• mattresses in any size and condition
• mattresses of any type such as foam, latex and futon
• bed base ensembles (fabric-covered bed bases)
• bed frames, slats and bed heads.

After booking, please print and place a Pre-booked bulky waste label(PDF, 47KB) on your mattress when you put it out for collection so that our rangers know that a collection has been booked.

Mattresses are also accepted at the Artarmon Resource Recovery (Cleanaway) (fees apply).
