Oil (cooking)

Small amounts: put in your red general waste bin.

Pour cooking oil into an absorbent material (for example, kitchen paper or egg cartons) to keep your bin clean. Alternatively, small amounts can go into a compost bin or soil.

Large amounts: can be disposed of at a Household Chemical CleanOut event or taken to  the Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre. Maximum limit of 20 litres of oil in containers no larger than 20 litres each (for example, 2 x 10-litre cans or 1 x 20-litre can or 5 x 4-litre cans) per customer per drop-off.
